This book is hysterical! All the things we
adults say ("Don't bite your nails," "Don't jump
on your bed!") are represented as a conspiracy
of adults against kids...this books breaks down
each thing and tells what's REALLY going on!
Kids will be interested to know that when
grownups say "Eat your vegetables", its really
because they don't want the vegetables to gain
control of the world. Pure wackiness!
Rosie is my favorite Maurice Sendak character!
This book is SO fun, in that it is so true to
kid's play! There's not a whole lot to this
story, but I think that's why I love it so much!
It's very real in the way the characters
interact...I can just see & hear the children.
It reminds me alot of "The Little Rascals" and
their little performances and mishaps! I highly
recommend the story tape in conjunction...the
narrator has a terrific way of adding life to
Rosie and her friends! This is on the "Where the
Wild Things Are" cassette, along with many other
stories.
This is a funny story about the panic that
erupts in the jungle when the elephant has to
sneeze. All the animals remember the pandemonium
that happened the LAST time he sneezed!
Oh
this is just too goofy to miss! There's so much
happening in this book, and you WON'T be able to
keep a straight face, I promise! (Neither will
the kids.) A spoof of many different fairy
tales..."The Stinky Cheese Man" and his
associates will live on in infamy from this
book!
This explains how the tooth fairy came to
collect our teeth and how each exchange works
towards mending the rift between fairies and
humans. Very cute story and FANTASTIC pictures!
Another fantastic book by Eve Bunting! In this
book, you'll learn how to plant sunflowers in
such a way as to create a "house" to play in!
Fabulous pictures!
I
got this book to review from
Dawn Publications. This
books is just BEAUTIFUL!! It takes John Denver's
lovely song "Sunshine on my Shoulders" and puts
it in a picture book format...You can't not sing
it! The pictures are just so warm and inviting
and the song is infectious...I can hear John
Denver in my head every time I read this book to
my children...and I can't just read it, I have
to sing it! Very very cute book!
