Everyone knows of the Velveteen Rabbit, right? This has got to be in the top 10 (maybe even top 5!) best children's books ever, right? The story of the little toy rabbit on his quest for what it means to be "real." I have loved this story for a LONG time...but there are SO many versions out there...all the same story, but different sizes, editions, and mostly different illustrators...Well, when I worked at Borders, I began my quest for MY ideal Velveteen Rabbit! And here you have it! It just fell into my lap one day! The pictures are JUST AMAZING! The book is a large hardcover, which I ALWAYS prefer....it's just a fabulous edition! It's become my first gift to new children in my life. Everyone who has a baby gets this as a present at some point. I won't even look at any other edition now...this one is just too perfect.
